Mariana Najmanovich Sirota
1983, Buenos Aires, Argentina / Vive y trabaja en Santiago de Chile.
Luego de estudiar Artes Plásticas con mención en Pintura en la Universidad Finis Terrae de Chile, Mariana Najmanovich realizó un Máster en Creación Artística en la Universidad de Barcelona. Ha expuesto su trabajo en distintas galerías y museos, como el MAVI, M100 y MAC en Santiago de Chile; Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB), Museo de América en Madrid, Sobering Gallery en Paris y la Tyler Art Gallery de la Universidad Estatal de Nueva York (SUNY). En su obra utiliza la fotografía como antecedente documental, elaborando imágenes que deforman y manipulan las escenas a través de distintas estrategias pictóricas. Los trabajos que construye reflexionan sobre la distorsión psicológica del ser humano en distintos contextos ligados a la violencia.

Mariana Najmanovich Sirota
Born, 1983, Buenos Aires, Argentina / Lives and Works in Santiago, Chile.
After finishing her Fine Arts Studies with a major in Painting at the Finis Terrae University, in Chile, Mariana Najmanovich completed a Master in Artistic Creation at the University of Barcelona. She has exhibited her work in several galleries and museums, such as MAVI museum, M100 Cultural Center, and MAC Museum in Santiago, Chile. Internationally, she has presented her work at the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona (CCCB), the Museum of America in Madrid, and the Tyler Art Gallery of the State University of New York (SUNY). She use photography as an documentary tool for her work, manipulating and distorting images in order to create new scenes, using different painting techniques. Her work reflects on the psychological distortions man goes through in different contexts related to violence. She studies the ambiguity and the enigmatic feature of the scenes, so to produce a reflective and sensorial connection with the painting.
